By accepting a quote and agreeing to a service provided by Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd the client agrees to accept the Terms and Conditions listed below. These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties and no variation or alteration of these Terms and Conditions will be valid unless approved in writing by the Director of the Company. The client’s statutory rights are not affected. If the Terms and Conditions change, Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd will notify the client in writing accordingly. The current version will always be available on the website http://www.spruce-cleaning.co.uk. 1.1 The property must be empty prior to the cleaner(s) arriving otherwise cleaning cannot commence.
1.2 The client must ensure the freezer(s) is thoroughly defrosted prior to the date of cleaning.
1.3 The client shall ensure that the cleaner(s) has access to hot water and electricity supply.
1.4 The duration of the cleaning services will be dependent on the size and condition of the property.
1.5 The client will be charged by the job, not for the number of hours the cleaner(s) is in the property.
1.6 The cleaning team do not clean external areas (outside).
1.7 End of Tenancy Cleans do not include carpet and upholstery cleaning.
1.8 Carpet and upholstery cleaning can be added on as additional costs.
1.9 If Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd are unable to view the property in person beforehand, Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd may ask the client to either WhatsApp or email photos and videos of each area to be cleaned so Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd can provide an accurate quote and advise how long the job will take to complete.
1.10 A 50% deposit is required upfront to secure the booking. The remaining 50% must be paid to Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd no later than the cleaning date.
1.11.The client can cancel the scheduled services by giving no less than 48-hours prior notice in writing.
1.12 If the service is booked with less than 48-hours from when it is due to commence, the client waives the right to cancel the booking.
1.13 Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the cleaning fee for any cancellation with less than 48-hours’ notice. If the client reschedules the service to a different date and time, no cancellation/rescheduling fee is required.
1.14 A 50% refund will only be issued if the client has cancelled the cleaning service by giving no less than 48-hours prior notice in writing.
1.15 Parking fees will apply if free parking is not available.
1.16 Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd reserves the right to amend any quotation given, should requirements change or due to any missing or incorrect information provided.
1.17 Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer.
One Off Deep Cleans (including any Add Ons):
2.1 The client shall ensure that the cleaner(s) has access to hot water and electricity supply.
2.2 The duration of the cleaning services will be dependent on the size and condition of the property.
2.3 The client must ensure the freezer(s) is thoroughly defrosted prior to the date of cleaning.
2.4 Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd request that all extremely fragile items and items of sentimental value are either removed or secured on the day that the service is provided.
2.5 The cleaning team will always endeavour to move and clean under furniture. However, this may not be possible due to an items weight, size or position. The cleaning team are provided with three tread step ladders and standard extension poles which do cover most eventualities. Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd do not, however, provide specialist equipment needed for non-standard room heights due to health and safety constraints.
2.6 The client must inform the cleaner(s) of any possible hazards in the client’s home to minimise the risk of accident e.g. loose shelves, worktops, animals, previously broken items etc.
2.7 For the safety of children, clients are asked to ensure that the cleaner(s) is not asked to clean rooms where the children are playing.
2.8 Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd requires that pets are secured for the safety of the cleaners and of pets. Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd also request that the client removes any animal faeces prior to the cleaner’s arrival.
2.9 The cleaning team do not clean external areas (outside).
2.10 The client will be charged by the job, not for the number of hours the cleaner(s) is in the property.
2.11 Deep Cleans do not include carpet and upholstery cleaning.
2.12 Carpet and upholstery cleaning can be added on as additional costs.
2.13 The cleaning team are fully trained, are uniformed and will provide all cleaning materials, vacuums and equipment. Due to Health and Safety compliance, the use of client’s cleaning materials and vacuums is discouraged. If the client insists the cleaner(s) to use the client’s own products and/or vacuum, Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd are not liable for any damage to the property because of using the client’s own products and/or vacuums. The cleaning team are not trained to know which other products are safe to use on certain surfaces.
2.14 If Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd are unable to view the property in person beforehand, Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd may ask the client to either WhatsApp or email photos and videos of each area to be cleaned so Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd can provide an accurate quote and advise how long the job will take to complete.

2.24 Cleaners are not permitted to smoke in a clients’ home or on their property.
Deep Clean (1 Year Subscription):
3.1 Payment is to be paid in full upfront to qualify for the discounted rate.
3.2 The subscription is non-refundable.
3.3 Should the client need to reschedule a deep clean, the client must notify Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd within 48 hours of the service commencing.
3.4 Spruce Cleaning Service Ltd agrees to keep keys and other client information secure and confidential. If a key is given to Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd, the client must ensure their home is accessible to the cleaner(s). If the client’s home is equipped with a security system, the client must advise Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd of the entry and exit code or have it in the ‘off’ position.
3.5 Payment must be made by cash or bank transfer.
3.6 The client agrees that from the date Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd provide a cleaning service and for a period of 12 months after the completion of the last cleaning service, the client will not solicit or entice either directly or indirectly, to employ any person who is or has been employed by Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd. Any breach will result in a payment to Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd of £250 per incident.
3.7 Cleaners are not permitted to drink or eat in a client’s home unless invited to do so.
3.8 Cleaners are not permitted to smoke in a clients’ home or on their property.
General Domestic Cleaning for Senior Citizens only (including any Add Ons):
4.1 Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd recommends a general domestic clean (regular clean) at least once a week to prevent dust and grime build up. Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd will happily tailor the service to meet the client’s requirements however oven cleaning, carpet and upholstery cleaning is not included in this service. If the client would like any of these services, they will need to be booked separately.
4.2 Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd offers regular cleaning daily, weekly, fortnightly and as a one-off regular clean.
4.3 The client must provide all the cleaning equipment such as a vacuum, mop and bucket.
4.4 The client has the option to provide their own cleaning products.
4.5 Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd can provide cleaning products at an additional cost.
4.6 The minimum number of hours per weekly cleaning is 2 hours.
4.7 The minimum number of hours per fortnightly cleaning is 3 hours.
4.8 The client must inform the cleaner(s) of any possible hazards in the client’s home to minimise the risk of accident e.g. loose shelves, worktops, animals, previously broken items etc.
4.9 For the safety of children, clients are asked to ensure that the cleaner(s) is not asked to clean rooms where the children are playing.

4.14 Should the cleaning visit fall on a Bank Holiday, or during a holiday period, every effort will be made to re-arrange the service, although this cannot always be guaranteed. If the client is going on holiday, Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd will offer a no-fee cancellation of regular cleans provided that the client gives at least 48-hours prior notice. Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the cleaning fee for any cancellation with less than 48-hours’ notice. This is to pay the cleaner(s) already allocated to that client.
4.15 Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd will invoice the client one month in advance.
4.16 Payment must be made by bank transfer.
4.17 The client must make payment to Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd. We recommend setting up a monthly standing order with your bank.
4.18 The client must give 30 days’ notice should they want to cancel the scheduled regular cleaning service.
4.19 Payment for a one-off regular clean must be paid upfront.
4.20 The client can cancel a one-off regular clean by giving no less than 48-hours prior notice in writing.
4.21 If the one-off regular cleaning service is booked within less than 48-hours from when it is due to commence, the client waives the right to cancel the booking.
4.22 A 50% refund will only be issued if the client has cancelled the one-off regular cleaning service by giving no less than 48-hours prior notice in writing.
4.23 The client agrees that from the date Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd provide a cleaning service and for a period of 12 months after the completion of the last cleaning service, they will not solicit or entice either directly or indirectly, to employ any person who is or has been employed by Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd. 5.4 The client will be charged by the job, not for the number of hours the cleaner(s) is in the property.

5.6 An onsite inspection beforehand is recommended so Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd can provide an accurate quote.
5.7 A 50% deposit is required upfront to secure the booking. The remaining 50% must be paid to Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd no later than the cleaning date.
5.8 The client can cancel the scheduled services by giving no less than 48-hours prior notice in writing.

6.1 If an existing client of Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd refers our services to a new client, a one-time 10% credit will be issued to the existing client after Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd has received cleared funds from the new client.
7.1 Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd are a fully insured business, and all cleaning services provided are video recorded for dispute management purposes only.
7.2 If Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd provides a service that the client is not satisfied with, the client must email details and any evidence to hello@spruce-cleaning.co.uk so Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd can investigate and resolve any issues promptly.
8.1 Force Majeure: The liability of Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd under this agreement will be terminated if Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd is prevented from fulfilling its responsibilities under the terms of this agreement by reason of delays in transportation, shortages of fuel and or/materials, strikes embargoes, fires, floods, quarantine restrictions, earthquakes, hurricanes or any other act of God or circumstances beyond the control of Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd. Spruce Cleaning Services Ltd reserves the right to adjust the service charge in the event of such occurrences or happenings.
